In the historic Pskov region, a center of regional governance and legislative decision-making, the Regional Assembly sought to modernize its deliberative processes. Implemented by TAIDEN's regional partner Escort Group, the HCS-8600 multimedia congress system has transformed the main assembly hall of the Pskov Region Government building, enabling seamless legislative sessions, round-table discussions, and video conferences.
At the core of this implementation are TAIDEN's HCS-8668 series paperless multimedia terminals and HCS-1082S series E-ink nameplates, integrating advanced technology with practical functionality. Each delegate position features a 14-inch Full HD touch display with 1920×1080 resolution, ensuring clear visibility of meeting materials and facilitating active participation.
The paperless multimedia conference system, featuring multiple customized functions to match the Assembly's specific workflows, provides deputies with comprehensive tools through their terminals - from discussion and voting to 64-channel simultaneous interpretation. Document management in various formats is streamlined directly through these terminals. The integration of 8-megapixel cameras enables high-quality video conferencing, supporting effective hybrid meetings with remote participants.
The system's sophisticated video integration allows for seamless video conferencing and content sharing. Participants can view presentations, photos, videos, and streaming content on their individual displays, with the same content also shown on the hall's main screen. This feature proves particularly valuable during presentations and interactive sessions.
The electronic registration and voting features streamline the assembly's legislative processes. Using IC cards, deputies can securely sign in to their terminals, ensuring accurate attendance records and voting integrity. The voting results for each agenda item are automatically saved and archived, creating a reliable digital record of all proceedings.
The chairman’s terminal offers enhanced control over conference proceedings, with comprehensive management of microphones, voting, and document distribution. Its intuitive interface facilitates smooth meeting progression and time management.
Meanwhile, the HCS-1082SN_W E-ink nameplates provide clear participant identification through their 14.74-inch displays with an impressive 1904 x 464 resolution. The paper-like reading experience and 180° viewing angle ensure optimal visibility throughout the assembly hall, enhancing meeting organization and professional appearance.
The successful integration of TAIDEN's paperless conference system in Pskov has brought new vitality to regional governance. The assembly's shift to paperless multimedia solutions merges modern efficiency with traditional legislative processes, creating a dynamic environment for democratic discourse.
