The 2018 Annual Meetings of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank Group (WBG) took place in Bali Nusa Dua, Indonesia, October 10-14, 2018. The annual meetings brought together central bankers, ministers of finance and development, parliamentarians, private sector executives, representatives from civil society organizations and academics to discuss issues of global concern. The Annual Meetings was registered by around 34223 attendees, which is the largest IMF-World Bank Annual Meetings in the history. On Friday, 12 October the Plenary Session of the Annual Meetings held at Bali Nusa Dua Convention Center’s Nusa Dua Hall, there are around 3800 delegates attended the meeting. The President of the Republic of Indonesia H.E. Joko Widodo, new Chair of the IMF Board of Governors Petteri Orpo, IMF Managing Director Christine Lagarde, World Bank Group President Jim Yong Kim, Secretary of the Fund Jianhai Lin and World Bank Vice President Yvonne Tsikata gave speeches during the plenary session. Due to the large number of participants, simultaneous interpretation was provided in 13 languages at the plenary session: English, Indonesian, Spanish, Arabic, French, Chinese, Portuguese, Russian, Korean, German, Lao, Vietnamese, and Burmese.

During the IMF-World Bank Annual Meetings, Bali Nusa Dua Convention Center also hosted of more than 300 meetings and other events during one week which includes high level meetings, official meetings, bilateral and small meetings such as G20 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors, Xblockchain Summit, High Level Parliamentary, Commonwealth Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors, G24 Deputies, G7 Finance Ministers, Development Committee, International Monetary Fund Committee, and ASEAN Roundtable. In order to accommodate such an intensive schedule and the large number of delegates, the Annual Meetings deployed more than 60 conference rooms in Bali International Convention Center and Bali Nusa Dua Convention Center. In order to guarantee the smooth holding of such a large-scale and top-notch conference, TAIDEN sent a 10-member team to provide conference support. The support team came to the venue in the end of September to guide the construction, debugging and rehearsal, we also worked with the organizing committee to check and adjust the schedule to ensure that the equipment can run flawlessly. The layout of the conference hall varies from day to day and even from meeting to meeting. To disassemble the equipment, reinstall the corresponding equipment and test them in a short turnaround time require not only the staffs’ excellent professional ability, but more importantly, the meticulousness to memorize the requirements of each meeting and the ability to adapt to the adjustments that may still occur at the last minute.
