TAIDEN served the 19th ASEAN Summit
November 21, 2011
 
The 19th ASEAN Summit and related summits kicked off in Bali, Indonesia on November 13th 2011. The Meetings included the 19th ASEAN Summit, the 14th ASEAN-China Summit (ASEAN Plus One) (as Commemorative Summit to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the ASEAN-China relations), the 14th ASEAN Plus Three (Japan, China and South Korea) Summit, the ASEAN-Japan Summit and ASEAN-South Korea Summit, and the 6th East Asia Summit (ASEAN Plus Eight). Heads of state or government of all the ASEAN member states attended the summits.
 
Thirty five meetings were held including the Opening Ceremony, the Closing Ceremony, series meetings of leaders’ summit, and the Closed-door Meeting for heads of state or government. More than 130 pcs of Taiden fully digital congress system delegate units, 1000 pcs Taiden IR receivers, and 30 pcs of TAIDEN fully digital simultaneous interpretation units were used. During the meeting, TAIDEN conference systems performed perfectly. Taiden - with its local partners - provided professional technical support and meeting service to guarantee the smooth running of the meeting. Both were awarded with unanimous acknowledgement and high praise.

 The ASEAN Foreign Ministers Meeting (Nov. 15th 2011)

 
The ASEAN Foreign Ministers Meeting was held on 15 November 2011 in Bali, Indonesia. During the meeting, attendees discussed on the topics of ASEAN Community Development and the Implementation of the ASEAN Charter, the establishment of the ASEAN Institute for Peace and Reconciliation (AIPR), and exchanged views on various regional and international issues.
The meeting, prior to the 19th ASEAN Summit, was conducted by ASEAN foreign ministers. TAIDEN fully digital congress system discussion units were in use throughout the duration of the meeting.

The 19th ASEAN Summit Closed-door Meeting, chaired by H.E. DR. H. Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, President of the Republic of Indonesia, was held on November 17th 2011. Taiden fully digital congress system discussion units and digital IR receivers were in use, providing six languages simultaneous interpretation.

 The 6th East Asia Summit (17-19 November 2011)
 
The 6th East Asia Summit has been held on November 17th – 19th and was attended by the heads of state or government of the ASEAN member states, the President of the United States Barack Obama, the Japanese Prime Minister Yoshihiko Noda, the South Korean President Lee Myung-bak, the Australian Prime Minister Julia Gillard, the Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, the Foreign Ministers of the Russian Federation and New Zealand.
At the summit, the leaders adopted two declarations as the outcome documents of the 6th East Asia Summit, namely, the Declaration of the EAS on the Principles for Mutually Beneficial Relations, and the Declaration of the 6th East Asia Summit on ASEAN Connectivity.
The EAS discussed on broad and strategic issues of common concern at regional and international levels, and ways to enhance and strengthen the cooperation within five priority areas of the EAS, namely finance, energy, education, communicable diseases, and disaster management.
20 pieces of Taiden fully digital congress system discussion units and 274 pieces of digital IR receivers were applied for ten languages simultaneous interpretation.
